The OPTIONS tab has several different work areas that will help your business..

  1. You can set the current RO to use one of your alternative labor rate sets.

  2. Lock [or unlock] the RO to prevent changes once you decide to close it out.

  3. In this section you can record payments for tickets as they are made. Later,
you can run easy reports that show you the total take for a period as well as how much was for parts, labor and sales taxes.

  4. The labor section lets you assign labor charges to the RO for your techs.
Labor can be entered as time/labor rate or as cash. The section will show your net on
labor here, as long as you enter all your tech costs for the labor operations in the RO.

  5. Section 5 will show a summary of the parts charges in the RO and, if you have entered costs for them,
you will see your net profit for parts.

  6. Since some RO's will be taxed differently from others by some shops,
this section lets you switch the tax in effect to one of 6 different taxe in Setup.
This is useful when, for example, you don't charge sales tax when working on commercial or government vehicles.

  7. Finally, if you absolutely must, you can alter the date. Probably this is only useful when back-entering RO's
from the period before you started using this system.
